Neufin is seeking a Energy Regulations & Policy Specialist. You will collaborate with our core renewables team on policy and regulatory frameworks that drive advancements in solar, wind & BESS across regions. Your expertise will help shape technology-led solutions that will drive business growth for Neufin. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in renewables, great analytical skills, and an eye for detail. Assist the business team in bespoke regulatory analysis across regions within the country.
Monitor and analyse local, regional, and national policy and regulatory developments that impact the renewable energy sector (wind/solar/wind-solar hybrid/BESS).
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to socialise learnings and build internal capability.
Undertake and oversee quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis using research tools for various modes of renewable energy procurement.
Analyse amendments in the different Regulations, Acts, Policies and their implementation.
Plan periodic review of regulatory developments in SERCs / CERC/ CEA/ MoP
Represent Neufin and engage with external stakeholders, including government bodies, industry associations, and energy providers, to stay abreast with energy policy decisions
Build and maintain strong relationships with key government officials, policymakers, DISCOMs, and other relevant organisations to advocate for policies that support the growth of renewable energy and address regulatory challenges.
2-5 years of relevant experience in regulatory roles at a leading renewable power generator or power trading company.
Experience in building financial and energy models for commercial & industrial (C&I) customers.
Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Economics, Science etc.).
Proficiency with MS Excel.
