Neufin is hiring a curious, driven individual to join us as an Associate Product Manager.
Indiaβs power-hungry mid-market is stuck in the dark ages. At Neufin, we aren't just "selling solar." We are building Indiaβs first tech-led energy retailer. We use our proprietary energy software, Lumen, to orchestrate supply from solar, wind, and batteries (BESS) to deliver a single promise: 24x7x365 Best-Priced Clean Energy.
This role is for someone who wants to get their hands dirty, move fast, and solve real problems in a space that matters. It will be a grind. If you're looking for a large team with clearly defined swim lanes, this isn't it. If you want to own things end-to-end from day one, read on.
Location: Bangalore
Role Type: Full-time
Neufin is a tech-led energy retailer delivering clean, low-cost, and flexible energy to India's mid-market Commercial & Industrial businesses.
Our energy software, Lumen, helps businesses track, pay, and optimise their electricity costs (βΉ/kWh). We integrate metering data with contract logic to give multi-site businesses a single view of their energy β and help them hit their clean energy targets without the complexity.
This isn't a line we add to sound current. It changes how we work every day.
At Neufin, we expect everyone β not just engineers β to use AI as a core part of how they think and operate. For a PM, that means using AI to run user research at a fraction of the time it used to take, to iterate on product specs faster, to synthesise customer call notes, to prototype flows, and to challenge your own thinking before bringing it to the team.
We're not looking for someone who has "used ChatGPT". We're looking for someone who has genuinely changed how they work because of AI β someone who finds the old way of doing things frustrating now, and keeps finding new places to use these tools.
You'll work across two of our core products: Lumen (our energy management platform) and Contracts (how we structure, price, and operationalise renewable energy agreements for C&I businesses).
Lumen: Work with engineering and design to ship features β bill digitisation, multi-site dashboards, contract monitoring, Scope 2 reporting. Understand what our customers need, write clear specs, and follow through to delivery.
Contracts: Help translate complex energy contract logic into usable product flows. Think through how a CFO or facility manager experiences a contract β from onboarding to monthly settlement β and make it smoother.
Customer Feedback Loops: Talk to customers. Sit in on calls. Synthesise what you hear into things the team can act on.
Data & Analytics: Dig into usage data, identify patterns, and flag things that matter. We have a large and growing dataset of electricity bills and metering data β there's a lot to find.
Cross-functional Work: Work closely with our energy, sales, and engineering teams. At this stage, product sits at the centre of almost everything.
Recently completed a bachelors programme at a Tier I institution (IITs, IIMs, BITS, NIT-K).
At least one prior product internship β we want to see that you've written a PRD, talked to users, or shipped something, even if small.
Strong written communication. You'll be writing specs, summarising customer calls, and flagging issues clearly.
Comfortable with ambiguity. Early-stage means the brief changes. You need to be okay with that.
Genuine curiosity about energy. You don't need to know what a DISCOM is on day one β but you should find it interesting when you find out.
We want someone who thinks energy is a genuinely interesting problem, who reads things they don't have to read, and who'll push back when something doesn't make sense.
Early-stage startups are hard. The upside is that you'll do more in six months here than you might in two years elsewhere.
Aside from being a highly motivated, mission-driven organisation, we offer:
πͺ Highly competitive salaries including attractive stock options.
π‘οΈ Insurance for you and your spouse.
π¦ 12% employer match for Provident Fund (PF).
π A yearly learning allowance to learn a new skill / develop new talent.
πββοΈ A yearly allowance towards your physical and mental health.
Neufin is HQ'd in Bangalore. The internship can be done remotely; full-time is in-office in Bangalore.
Each candidate will have ~3β4 interview rounds:
A screening call to understand your background and why you want to work on this.
A short product case study (take-home).
A technical/product deep-dive.
A closing round with our founders.
We aim to complete the process and get back to you within a week.
